The vOilah! French Film Festival is back for its 42nd edition, screening 34 French films from 12 to 29 November across Shaw Theatres (Lido and Paya Lebar Quarter), Alliance Française de Singapour and Filmhouse. Headlining the line-up is Antonin Baudry’s two-part De Gaulle epic, alongside fresh big-screen takes on The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables, Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Violette and an expanded animation showcase.
For date night, Filmhouse brings back Amélie for its 25th anniversary along with other Jeunet favourites like Delicatessen, while Alliance Française screens the romcom Delicacy on 20 November. Standard tickets are $16 (concessions from $11), and free family-friendly screenings pop up at community spots across the heartlands, including an open-air showing at the Palawan Kidz City roof garden on Sentosa on 28 November.
