1. Four free nights of live music at Baybeats

Baybeats hits its 25th edition this year, and it is still one of the best free things happening in Singapore. Nearly 50 acts play across four days and multiple stages around the Esplanade, spanning hardcore, metal, post-punk, dream-pop, reggae, hip hop and experimental noise. Japanese experimental rock trio Boris headline the international side alongside Austria’s Bilderbuch, Korea’s Bulgogi Disco and Indonesian rock icons The SIGIT, with local acts like Stopgap and Mediocre Haircut Crew holding it down. New this year is Beatsverse, a Roblox world featuring 23 local bands, plus BACKLINES, a series of intimate artist sessions.

2. A creative market worth losing an afternoon to

Making its Singapore debut at Suntec, the Shanghai-based creative market brings together over 200 independent brands, including more than 100 making their local debut from across Asia. 5. Go on a Magical Island Adventure with Disney Cruise Line

Sentosa gets a Disney makeover this September, turning the island into a colourful coastal playground inspired by Disney Cruise Line. Wander through themed zones with glowing installations, larger-than-life Disney characters and interactive experiences, with plenty of photo spots along the way.
Make a little game out of the Stamp Card Rally as you explore, where completing the stamps gets you a set of Disney-themed stickers. If you prefer your Disney magic after dark, the Night Experience adds illuminated installations and a more atmospheric way to explore. The adventure is only around until 20 September, so squeeze this one into your next Sentosa date before it sails away.

6. Wander through a lantern-lit garden this Mid-Autumn

Mid-Autumn gets a little more magical at Gardens by the Bay, where the gardens glow with colourful lantern displays after dark. Follow Fenbao and her friends through dreamy scenes of glowing flowers, floating jellyfish and a celestial whale, with nearly 1,000 hand-painted lanterns waiting at the Colonnade.
Make an evening of it with carnival games, street food and festive crafts along the way. And if you’re already at Gardens by the Bay, why not pop into the Flower Dome too? There’s something rather interesting blooming inside right now – Lilytopia, an Ancient Egypt-inspired floral display filled with thousands of lilies and even giant Victoria water lilies – and it offers air-conditioned respite from the Singapore heat.

7. Have a frightful time at Halloween Horror Nights 14
Credits: Universal Studios Singapore
The 14th edition of Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Studios Singapore for 18 select nights, and this year leans hard into local horror. Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection reimagines a shophouse where every forgotten object carries a curse, while Singapore’s Most Haunted: ON AIR drops you into an abandoned broadcast studio. Rounding out the four haunted houses are Chatterbox Charlie’s Vaudeville Horrors and Made in Hell: XL Robotics, alongside two scare zones, The Raveyard and Necropolis: The Serpent’s Crossroads.
Tickets start at $68 on non-peak nights, and the earlier weekends in the run are usually the calmer ones if you would rather not spend half the night queueing. Express Passes are worth it if you are only going once.
