Weekend Guide: Weave into Sentosa to Shop, Eat, Play, Repeat

WEAVE mall

The emergence of a mall in Sentosa is a testament to Singaporeans’ enthusiasm for shopping and dining. Fortunately for couples, it also provides one more compelling reason to hop on the Sentosa Express and revisit the island on your next weekend date.

Exciting developments are in the pipeline for Greater Sentosa, including a massive overhaul of the lifestyle offerings by the waterfront at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). While these changes are expected to materialise by 2030, visitors to the island today are already spoilt for choice if they’re hoping to enjoy more than just sand and sea.

Take a break from the amusement park rides or beach activities to indulge in some retail therapy at WEAVE, RWS’ latest green and sustainable mall, which is also part of its $6.8 billion waterfront development plan.

Here’s a lowdown on what’s worth checking out at WEAVE.

POP BAKERY by POP MART

Something’s going to pop fresh from the oven on 30 July 2026! Besides hunting for your favourite blind box collectibles, now you can also indulge in food inspired by them at the new POP BAKERY by POP MART. The mega brand’s newest retail store at WEAVE also houses its first dining outpost in Southeast Asia.

Expect to brave long queues (a queue route has even been issued on social media for the launch period) if you want to snag character-themed sweet treats that are almost too cute to eat, such as the Singapore-exclusive Twinkle Twinkle Coconut Mousse or LABUBU butter cookies. And how can you pass up the chance to pose at one of the delightful photo spots with a pandan-flavoured Dimoo ice cream or the viral Twinkle Twinkle Twin Popsicle in your hand?

Also, with a range of exclusive Singapore collectibles beckoning from every corner, don’t be surprised if your adult money fund quickly depletes before you leave! Note that walk-in customers are only allowed up to 15 minutes per entry inside the POP MART store and takeaway purchases inside POP BAKERY. Queues are separate for these two.

A cult-favourite bakery from Korea, Standard Bread welcomes you to rest your feet and fill your bellies between Sentosa attractions. If you’re not familiar with what the café offers, the design installation by its shopfront, shaped like a slice of giant toast, is a dead giveaway.

A must-order is the Crème Brûlée French Toast, served on a cast-iron pan with a warm brûlée sauce poured tableside for a dramatic, sizzling finish that’s perfect for two to share. Or go for their Sentosa-exclusive menu items Maple Bacon & Garlic Toast and Truffle Mushroom & Cheese Toast.

Snoopy Store & Café

Peanuts fans will want to make a beeline for Singapore’s official Snoopy Store, where all kinds of merch, from plushies to stationery to bags and clothing will inevitably make your eyes fill with hearts. Worth checking out are the Singapore-exclusive t-shirts with local motifs such as durian, Gardens by the Bay, and popular Singlish word “CHOPE!”.

Even if you’ve got only sweet nothings to say, purchase two Snoopy postcards and each pen a romantic message addressed to your other half. But don’t stop there. But don’t stop there. Buy a postage stamp and send your postcard through the Snoopy mailing service, so your date can receive a sweet keepsake in the mail, whether they’re based in Singapore or anywhere else in the world.

By the way, the Snoopy Store recently revamped its café offerings and their $10 for three snacks combo is affordable and worth a try.

For a treat that’s only available at the chain’s Singapore outlet, the Chilli Crab soft serve is a must-order. Visually appealing with deep orange-hued ice cream in their signature C monogram wafer cone, this unique savoury-sweet treat has hints of tomato and spice that closely evokes flavours of Singapore’s iconic dish.

Besides tucking into New York deli-style hot sandwiches, you can also bring home their exclusive merchandise such as canvas tote bags, tees and tumblers.

The store’s classy retro décor beckons you to cool down from Singapore’s sweltering temperatures with their signature sundaes. Make a reservation at DRIM Gold if you’re planning a romantic dinner away from the urban bustle and across Singapore’s southern shore. The fine dining restaurant is Singapore’s largest cave concept steakhouse and specialises in Hanwoo (Korean beef) and Jeju black pork, grilled tableside by staff, so you can savour their optimum texture.

Enter the restaurant through a cave-like passageway flanked by sculpted stone walls, then let yourselves be transported into a traditional Korean hanok, accented by warm timber interiors and subtle mood lighting. Prices may be a tad steep but memories of the dinner date will always be priceless.

Too young to experience the hype of the legendary Mandarin Chicken Rice, from the once-eponymous hotel at 333 Orchard Road? You can have a taste of the 50-year-old tradition at Chatterbox Café before deciding if it’s worth paying a double-digit figure for an otherwise simple hawker staple.

Boasting a fiercely guarded recipe for its Hainanese Chicken Rice, with plump chicken meat and signature chilli sauce that’s always the soul of the dish, the café also serves many other local delights such as Laksa, Bak Kut The, Hokkien Mee and Grilled Satay.
